The girls and I realized this week that we only have 5 more weeks left until they go back to school. They were not that happy about that. So we decided to review our "summer list". This is a list of what we wanted to do this summer. We still have quite a few things left to do, but we also have done a lot on the list. One item on the list was to have a lemonade stand. The girls did so this past Friday. It was a success. After two pouring accidents and a slow start, they made $8.55. They charged anywhere from $0.25-$0.50 depending on how much money customers had. They even got a tip from the "package guy" aka FedEx man. The girls are giving their money they made to a ministry one of the church members has started to help people addicted to drugs called "a place of Hope" (see the sign "Lemonaid stand, the money is for Hope").
So you might ask what is left on the list?? Here it is: 1. Go to the Zoo 2. More pool time 3. See a couple of movies-Kung Fu Panda, Wallie, Kit Kiteridge The American Girl Story 4. Nicole wants to learn how to ride a two wheeled bike. Enjoy the next five weeks. We will try.
