Spring, We Welcome You!

A few weeks ago, the girls and I went out to Howell to visit my grandparents. It was one of the first real sunny and warmer days we had this early spring. We had a great visit with my grandparents and even got a chance to visit the "Duck Pond" downtown Brighton. The "Duck Pond" also has a great park for the kids.

Rachel trying to gain momentum to propel herself on the swing.

Rachel trying to be like big sisters on the bars.

Nicole has mastered the monkey bars after countless hours on the playground at school.

Morgan can always manage a smile for me when I am taking pictures.

This picture reminds me of a Verizon commercial. Except we need one more bar!

We are so glad Spring has decided to stick around this time. We can't wait for summer!

Rebecca and Mark's Wedding

My cousin Becky (Rebecca) got married on Friday.
We had a wonderful weekend sharing in Becky and Mark's special day. Mike officiated the wedding so I got to be more included than just a guest and am I grateful for that. I was soooo excited for this wedding. They are a great couple and Becky a wonderful cousin (2 weeks my junior). The day was beautiful. You couldn't have asked for better weather, a little windy, but gorgeous. The wedding was at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester and what a perfect place for a wedding. Mike did an awesome job with the ceremony, Becky was stunning and the reception a very fun time. I was happy to reunite with family and see many from out of town. So, congratulations Becky and Mark. May your marriage be as great as your wedding day was!

"Celebrate Good TImes, Come On"

So we had a great Easter weekend. Scroll down for a slide show that shows our fun. We started the weekend off with a great Good Friday Service that Mike spoke at. The girls sat in church pretty well after a pretzel bribe for Rachel. Our church also put on a great community outreach event on Saturday. We got to enjoy the Easter carnival with friends and family. We had a great turn-out for that. We then celebrated Easter dinner on Saturday with the Kelbert's and Knepper's. Had great food, good company and a baseball game, adults vs. kids. Not really sure who came up the winner on that one. Sunday was three wonderful services at church, naps in the afternoon and Easter pizza and egg hunt in the evening with friends. We had an awesome time celebrating Jesus and God's gift of salvation for us. We were really able to reflect and celebrate the true Easter meaning.
