Goodbye March

I wonder where you went MARCH.
Our time together has seem to slip away.
Time spent waiting for warm weather.
Time spent watching my baby get way too big, way too fast.
Time spent on school projects, piano and Bible Bowl.
Time spent back at work.

Thanks for a great month, but please, my baby Rachel begs you, let Spring come!

6 month old Joshua just starting to eat his Gerber Puffs.

Rachel has had more art classes per week in March. This project she had described to me on many different occasions. It was a masterpiece!

March has been cold. So... my outdoor girl had to resort to finding other ways to fill her time. Let's just say cosmetology may not be in her future.

Wow, where did my 5 lb baby go????
My "handsome man" as I lovingly call him.

winter wonderland

Michigan has been a bit of a snowy winter wonderland lately.
We are trying to make the most of it. The girls are old enough now to go outside for longer periods when it is cold without me getting nervous they are going to be "overcome" by the elements.
Even Josh got in on the action in the snow. HEHE (these were staged on a 40 degree day here, so no worries)
Joshua is now 5 months old and getting very active and grabbing everything. He had his first real daycare day with Ms. Amanda and was a very well behaved boy!

We love the snow, but I am getting spring FEVER!

Four Months

Joshua turned 4 months.
He is so alert and playful. Being able to spend my days playing with him is such a great gift.
He smiles most of the time, especially when his sisters are paying attention to him.
He has had a few firsts this month.
His first full out giggle was when Mike was tickling his toes.
He likes to sit in his bumbo.
He loves to eat his hands.
He is sleeping mostly through the night (he likes to call me at 4am).
He has grown 4 pounds and 4 1/2 inches in 2 months. This is simply unheard of in our family. We LOVE IT, except he is growing right out of all his cute clothes.

It was love at first sight with his cars blanket that Grandma Kelbert made for him before he was born. I found it in a drawer, gave it to him and it was an instant connection. He doesn't love his pacifier, but it will temporarily calm him down.

He has put on a few pounds, so now he loves his bath and is not cold!

We took the kids to the pool this last weekend and Joshua went in. Mike was excited to do this, even though Walmart did not have swim diapers.
Josh loved it, didn't cry once.

This last picture describes Josh's life. Fun, filled with lots of love from many sources!
