Birthday Week

Morgan and Rachel celebrated their birthdays this past week. We had a lot of fun with friends and family. Morgan had her friend party on Sunday and Rachel gets her party this coming Saturday. Here are a few pics from our celebrations. I hope to get Morgan's party pictures up through photobucket if I can figure it out. So stay tuned for more.

Mike always gets the girls flowers and a special birthday treat on their actual birth day. They always love getting this from dad.

Expecting great things, when she turns three!

When she turns three (on Saturday) our lives will be, full of peace and harmony. When she turns three she will be quiet, consistent and considerate. When she turns three her sisters will not be tortured by her requests for "Dora". When she turns three oh how happy we will be and get a full night's rest. When she turns three I know she'll be obedient and kind. When she turns three I am sure I'll be surprised this rhyme was just a dream!!! Here is to you, Rachel Rae. Someday you will be all of these things.

WOW! What a weekend.

The Nugent's had a very exciting and fun filled weekend. We started it out on Friday night when Mike and I got to go see the new movie "Fireproof". This was a great movie, very inspiring for those married couples out there. It was nice to spend time with Mike away from some of the craziness the girls bring with them. Take a look at the trailer at www.fireproofthemovie.com . We then had a great Saturday at the Harvest Celebration at church. This was a community outreach event and we had great weather and a great turn out.
We made caramel apples, rode on a wagon pulled by beautiful horses, picked a pumpkin, played pumpkin bowling, went through a corn maze.

Played pumpkin ring toss, hunted for candy in the hay, ate lunch at the Harvest of Talents and enjoyed each other's company. The girls ran around for about 5 hours and were not ready to leave. After the Harvest Celebration we headed to Downtown Detroit to pick up my (Kelly's) registration packet for the Detroit Free Press Marathon Relay.

We walked around Cobo Hall, rode the people mover and had dinner in Greektown. The girls did great. Everyone was exhausted by the time we got to the car. On Sunday, I(Kelly) and four other friends from MCC, participated in the marathon relay. Five people split up the 26.2 miles of the marathon and ran "legs". This was a blast. There were 18,000 people at this event. It was great. I got to run the leg over the Ambassador Bridge to Canada, just as the sun was coming up. All of the team members ran exceptional times. We finished in 3 hours and 44 minutes and were 114th out of 599 relay teams.

So we had a wonderful weekend, enjoying the outdoors and some new experiences. I'll leave you with a video of Nicole at the Harvest Celebration, trying to eat a donut on a string.
